Just as the winter temps were setting in, two of our favorite entertainers welcomed us into their warm & lovely homes. Enjoy some ambience courtesy of our consummate hosts, Daniel and Candace. We can thank them for throwing some of the peachiest parties west of Broad.
Friendsgiving: Chez Daniel
Friendsgiving, which typically falls the Sunday before Thanksgiving, is rumored by many to be their favorite holiday of the year. Daniel (or D$, as he is affectionately known), outdid himself once again, opening the doors of Wharton Heights to 150 of his closest friends. Clawfoot bathtubs filled to the brim with beverages and enough gourmet comfort food to feed a colony of hibernating foodies were par for the course, but there was something about this year’s gathering that was particularly infectious. Perhaps it was the glow of the guests, or the abundance of babies…whatever it was, the memories were enough to sustain us all season.
Greer made a stunning entrance:
Guests mingled in preparation for the feast:
D$ and his perfectly crisped delicious roast:
Jen, already riding a food high:
Molly and Matt looked calm and content before the binge:
Blake awaited the satisfying first bite:
Bela and baby had a moment pre-feast:
Tennyson applauded D$’s speech. (We applaud her wall treatments!)
And then the feasting began.

Eye Candy at Candace’s
When our dear friend Candace stepped into her Grad Hospital abode, she was (nearly) surprised to find a slew of friends lying in wait to celebrate her birthday. We think if anything, her guests were more surprised to find her exquisite living space in such mint condition! We can all take a cue for accidental hospitality from Candace.
The birthday girl welcomed a special guest:
Bela, the animatrice:
Brien of FedNuts cast an eye toward the treats on display:
The lady and her lucky man shared a dance:
Another lucky man, another lady of the Co-Op:
Melissa of Good Dog rounded out the good times:
And Calvin just can’t wait for the next chance to celebrate. See you soon, buddy!
